Ann Fobes

Ann FobesAnn F. Fobes with her husband, Clyde, began supporting Humane Society Naples in 1997, during Be Kind to Animals Week! They became steadfast and loyal annual donors until their deaths in 2014 and 2015. Residents of Columbus, Ohio, Ann established an endowed fund with The Columbus Foundation, which continues to support charities that were important to her during her lifetime, including HSN.

Ann earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from The Ohio State University. She retired from teaching after a 45-year career, working mainly with 3rd and 4th graders in Worthington and Marion, Ohio, as well as Mannheim, Germany. The Ann F. Fobes Designated Fund of The Columbus Foundation continues to support the charities of her choice, including Humane Society Naples.

We are grateful to Ann and Clyde for their dedicated support and compassion for the animals. Not only were they active during their lifetimes in contributing to our lifesaving mission, but they took the deeply thoughtful step of establishing a fund with their community foundation to sustain that philanthropic support in perpetuity.
